The Vrat Sathi (व्रत साथी - हिन्दू व्रत, उपवास, पूजा विधि व व्रत कथा) mobile application is built as an offline-first devotional utility. We do not collect, sell, or rent Personal Identifiable Information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, contacts, or location.
2. On-Device Storage (AsyncStorage)
All user preferences and interactive features stay locally on your mobile device using client storage (AsyncStorage):
- Favorite Vrats & Bookmarks: Saved list of Hindu vrats, ekadashi, fasts, and festival recipes.
- App Preferences: Selected app theme mode, audio playback settings, and reminder notifications toggle.
- Offline Audio & Content Progress: Saved audio progress and fast procedures.
3. Analytics & Ad Monetization (AdMob & Firebase)
To keep Vrat Sathi 100% free for all devotees, the app incorporates Google AdMob and Firebase Analytics SDKs. These standard Google SDKs may collect non-personally identifiable device identifiers (such as Android Advertising ID) to serve personalized or non-personalized advertisements in compliance with Google Play Developer Policies. We enforce strict ad placements so popup ads never interrupt sacred vrata reading or audio stotrams.
4. Local Notifications
Vrat Sathi may request permission to send local scheduled notifications to remind you of upcoming fasts (e.g. Ekadashi, Pradosh Vrat, Sankashti Chaturthi). All reminder calculations are computed locally on your device without sending notification data to remote servers.
5. Children's Privacy
Vrat Sathi does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. The application contains devotional content, fast recipes, puja procedures, and stotrams suitable for all age groups.
